It's significantly more comfortable against post-nursing tissue than standard rigid underwire. The underarm smoothing panel also ensures no digging where tissue is soft or sensitive.
For most everyday tops, yes. The lace sits on the upper cup, while the lower cup — the part against the fitted line of your top — is smooth microfibre designed to lie flat.
