Don’t you just love this beautiful quote by Marianne Williamson, the author of ‘A Return to Love’…
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.’ We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be?”
We all have unique talents and a purpose here on Earth. We can either shy away from it or we can surrender to the inevitability of our own gorgeousness and ride the wave of joy, self love and excitement that comes when you start living in the flow of your own life.
If you have ever been guilty of shutting the door on the good things in life (I know I certainly have!) then now is the time to do things differently. Ask for the support you need. Reach out for guidance in the areas you are struggling with. Be brave and seek out the people who can help you squeeze more icing out of the cake of life!
One day I phoned up a complete stranger and asked her what she did to become a published author. I was so nervous, but it was just a few months later that I sent off my ‘You Sexy Mother’ manuscript to 10 publishers. Two of them contacted me to say they thought it looked interesting; one of them went on to become my publisher. Those are the kind of defining moments in life that I urge you to pursue.
Often the only person sabotaging our success in life is the one staring back at us in the mirror! There is a sea of opportunity just waiting for each of us to wake up to it and allow it in to our experience… the best way I have found to do that is to get clear on what you want in life and stay focused. That way you know what opportunities to say yes to and what to say no to.
Keep your life as simple as you can – drama and chaos don’t tend to allow much room for success and personal fulfilment. By learning to say no to some things, you allow yourself to say a resounding YES to the things that really matter to you… those things that have the power to transform your life in a positive way.
You are a glorious expression of what it means to be a woman… curves, stretch marks, jiggly bits and all. Own your power by learning to rock your own brand of self-love each and every day!
